I have an old 2 bottom plow that needs new rubber. What do you use these days to replace 6x16 tires?

You can buy 16 inch implement tires at any farm store or major tire store in farming areas. If the plow is a rope-trip mechanical lift type, you should put a traction type tire on the land wheel with the tread in the reverse or "driven" direction. Used 16 inch front tractor tires can be used on the furrow wheel and on both wheels on hydraulic lift plows. A restored plow looks great with new tires, but sometimes new trailer plows did't get new tires but used car tires instead which were cheap and plentiful,(16 and later 15 inch tires were used on a lot of farm implements, especially wagons).

Thanks for the tip on reversing the trip tire. I knew I would probably need a tire with tread on that side but it didn't occur to me to also reverse it.
