A friend of mine recently bought what he believes
to be an IH Model 100 Sickle Mower. There are no decals or ID tags to help identify it. It has a 7ft. bar and is a trailer type (non 3pt)with 2 implement tires mounted on a double-offset axle.
Some of the Part No.s are as follows;
Drive Belt = IH 558141 RI
Drive Pulley = 45668 R2
Axle Mount Plate = 458891 R1

Any replies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Joseph

A 100 is a belt drive pitman less mower a c-32 is a pitman drive mower the c-32 does have a belt but it drives the flywheel not the knife I think a 100 can be used upright but the c-32 can't because of the pitman. hope this helps T.J.

Sounds like it could be a 100 or even a 1000 series mower. We just bought a 2pt 100 mower for $210 and it seems to be in pretty good shape. I can't find any information on the 100 mowers but found some on the 1000 series which I think is the replacement for the 100 mower and you described a 100 or 1000 pretty good. Ours has the "100" decal on the wobble box.
