I posted this in response to earlier snow bucket from rwh, but want to throw it out there.
Are there commercial, or otherwise side bucket extenders? I have a narrow manure bucket, but wish to make it wider on both sides to increase the capacity, I live in Michigan so any help before next weeks snow will be helpfull (:

Since your original message is a week old I don't
know if you will see my response or not but I have
a snow bucket that a manure bucket will slide
into. The snow bucket has the center section cut
out and the manure bucket slides in and attaches
to it. I don't know if it is homemade or not but
if you want I can take a picture of it and post it
to show you what I mean.

How about splitting a 270gal. fuel oil. Now you have 2 halfs. One for each side of your bucket.
Add some iron for frame and strength.

I had an old manure bucket on a Farmall. The bucket rested between the long lift arms and really could not be widened and still dump. So, I started from scratch and welded up my own bucket from plate steel. It attaches to the same arms, but in front of them, instead of between. Many of the manure loaders were trip buckets and setting up the trip mechanism is the tricky part if you start from scratch. I made my bucket a full seven feet wide and have it on a Farmall 240. Works fine for snow, but certainly too large for this tractor in dirt. The whole thing cost me around $400 for the steel, welding rod, etc. Might keep your eye out for a used larger bucket. It can probably be adapted to your loader. You need to be friendly with a welder.
