We have a New Hollamd 900 chopper, it came with a 822 corn head. Besides plugging the throat under the chain, it throws one of the cutting disc's off. We have tried putting locktite on it but it still came off. Has anyone else had this problem?

Another thing is that we went to different farm today and looked at a gehl corn head.. Is there a way to make a gehl head fit on a 900 chopper?

You might try contacting New Holland to see if there was a service bulletin released on that problem.

I don't know much about the 900 so this is just a guess but could the throat be plugging because the disc is coming loose? Maybe that side is supposed to have a left hand thread bolt, if the bolt is long enough, could try lock jamming it with two nuts or drilling a hole for cotter pin. hope this helps.
