Just wonderin', is there a market for old threshing machines? I'm trying to decide if I should sell it or let my wife use it for a gigantic flower box like he wants to.

What condition is the machine in? If its been kept in a shed and isn't rusted out it could be worth decent money to a collector, maybe $500 - $1000. If it has been sitting outside for 40 years and is pretty well shot, then its a lawn ornament. Although I went to an auction last year where there was an old thresher that was really junk. The blower pipe was broke off, the feeder was twisted, all rusted out and somebody painted it really bad with a brush. I thought it was too ugly to go on the lawn, but somebody paid $600 for it! How big and what make is it? I'm sure it also depends on where you're located. Some touristy and upper income suburban areas will give a better price for an unusual lawn item.

There don't seem to be a big market for them. For most people they are a little big to move around. But if you have one to sell let me know. I've got 3 and am looking for more.

I would like to know what these are worth. I am wanting to buy one I see setting outside not too far from my house and don't know what it should take to get it. What kinds of things should I check out on it if I were interested in ever running it?

I saw one like that at an antique shop in Northern Wisconsin last week. They were asking $900 for it!
