Okay, Uncle Reg says its a "Heston Super 6"
Its a 6ft pull type bushhog type.
Needs blades in the worst way. He had one made a few years ago that approximates the original but is pretty lousy.
As you might guess it kind of beats the grass into submission. It gets the job done but only barely.

Anybody know anything about these?

Hesston is still around, now a division of AGCO, but I think it's been awhile since they've made rotary mowers.

I've had very good luck writing to AGCO's corporate headquarters off of their website twice for stuff that the local dealer couldn't get.

They got me parts manuals (with measured drawings in some cases) for 40 and 50 year old equipment, so I'd think they could scare up what you're looking for...if not the part itself, maybe the specs so you could have a better one made at a machine shop. At any rate, might be worth a shot.

good luck,
Tom

Thanks Tom, I emailed a local dealer yesterday and haven't gotten a response yet, I'll give HQ a shot.
