We have a fairly new little local Old time Machinery Show at the Lake park. Had about 20-30 tractors/stuff. The orgainizer really only wants "restored". Well a friend brought a Titan that looks terrible (has fenders homemade out of Coca Cola signs - but all the rust is the same color!) I pulled my NH 80 wire tie baler down. During the show I started the V4 Wisconsin and ran the baler for about five minutes, which was about as long as the crowd wanted. As soon as I shut it down - some guy said, "get your crank and try and restart that beast!" Before the crack was out of his mouth, I pushed the start button and she roared back to life! He looked disappointed - I smiled. Dick

Fortunately most organizations don't care if the machinery is restored or not. I like to see working tools myself. Some of these tractors with professional paint jobs look better than when new. The owners are afraid to do anything with them for fear of scratching it. My paint jobs are decent but I am not afraid to work (play) with my equipment. More power to you and remember the whole idea is to have fun.
