I have a MF 31 also, with a cast case. I have been very lucky to find parts at :Jacksonville Garage in Jacksonville, MO. The shop is an old MF dealer and has excellent folks there. I don't have a phone number for them, but information should be able to help. Hope it helps.

massey ferguson still carries parts it just depends on the dealer. Where iam located we a have a mom and pop (so to speak) massey dealer, and for my MF 31 he has always gotten the parts. course i have never had anything major happen.

i used to have a MF model 48 sickle mower that was made in 1950, the man who sold it to me said it was a dearborne. the the ball that is supposed to be on the blade in which the cups on the pitman
connect to was on the pitman and the cups where on the blade. well the blade broke and no one had ever heard or seen this type of mower with this set up. so finally we went to the mom an pop dealer i described the mower to him and he told me right off what kind of mower it was and went to the warehouse and got me a blade for it. what luck, i had thought i was gonna have to scrap it.

so iam sure there r just parts for this stuff like i say it just depends on where u r located an who is the dealer.

I have one also, just finished rebuilding with new bearings, and a new $60 shaft which rides on the bearings,, it broke this spring, I have had several parts welded, including the rod which broke when the shaft broke, Hopefully I can find a used disc mower and sell this thing, I have a neighbor with exactly the same model, and has rebuilt everything I have had to do as well, my suggestion is to find a GOOD local welder and see if he can fix it, I havent found a "parts" one yet. good luck,,

I have a MF71 Dyna balanced machine. This one mounts in front of the rear tire rather than behind. Got to figure, looking at the parts lists, that most of the mechanism is the same, so don't rule this model out in your hunt.

I have an MF 31. A few years ago I paid $5 for a basket case (busted up knife and broken bar) Ferguson FEO30 mower, because the Dyna-Balance drive on it was still good and is exactly the same as on my mower. Have not needed it for parts yet but you never know . . . . The later 41 mower should have similar guts. It had a welded case rather than a cast case. That one was built into the late eighties, so parts should still be around, I would think.
