I tried out my New Holland 1000 Bale wagon yesterday. Everything works fine, except that when the bales get to the top of the loader, and turn, it doesnt fall down on the table properly. It usually hangs at the top of the loader, or falls back on it;s side half on and half off the first table.... What is the problem? Are there any adjustments? I ordered a manual , but it is not here yet..

Sorry about the double post!! I'm not sure how I did that! Another thing I did to my 1002 was spray down the inside of the hay pickup with Slip Plate. If the inside of your pickup is rusty or just beat up this might help too! But you need very uniform length bales for these things to work properly. And I wouldn't exceed 40 - 42 inches. Preferably shorter bales than that if you can still get a good stack. The bales need to be good, tight, firm bales too!

I wonder if your bales are too long. My 1002 calls a 41" bale optimium. That or the dogs on the chain are wore down too much. On mine there is a adjustment for the height of the pickup. This allows the bale to "tip" over better if it is raised up a little.
