We just purchased a 1957 New Holland Super 66 Bailer. I was wondering if anyone knew if the wood in a super 66 is the same as in a regular 66. Also I was wondering if anyone knew the fuel consumption for the wisconsin engine. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Jon.

i grew up with a super 66 that my uncle had. we later had our own 66 with a buckeye bale thrower, after permanently parking the allis roto baler. We always had problems with 66 baler capacity. break the wad board shearbolts all the time. later went to larger new holland and stay to this day. i sometimes wish to have super 66 to collect. i think they look great. especially the yellow pickup.

I am currently working on a 68 New Holland, I just bought new wood plunger bearings at the dealer. If I had the Hard maple sitting around I would have just made my own. The dealer still has tons of parts for the model 68, you might check with them and see if they have what you need and can't make yourself.

I don't know about the wood but at my hobby farm the landlord has a super 77 and since they allow me to use all of their equipment,if I want to,so I use it to bale around 200 or so bales of straw and 150 or so corn fodder bales(works great by the way!), I don't know for sure whether yours has the 2 or 4 cyl. Wisconsin, but the 77 has a 4 and I could deffinitely bale 220 bales of straw on 5 Gallons of gas, as I can bale exactly 200 and there is still acouple of inches in the tank. Its a simple baler and works great if you aren't in a rush and push it hard and very rarely misses a tie.
