Someone approached me the other day and asked if I were interested in selling my NH 847 round baler. I've thought about switching to squares off and on, but really haven't been looking to sell right now. I can't find anything for sale locally that is similar and would give me a reference price, so I ask all of you: Any ideas on what to ask, if I decide to sell? Thanks in advance!

My 1999 HotLine book lists them between $2900 - 3900 depending on age & options. That would be what a dealer asks, I'd expect less on a private sale, and add 2 years of depreciation. Also this is a national average, might be quite different for you locally.

I brought a 846 baler in the spring of 2000 for $750. It needed work and about $250 worth of parts. The auto-wrap is still not working wright.
I have seen balers 846, 847 priced up to $4000 in excellent shape in East TN.
