I bought a baler at an auction. the plunger was disconnected because it needed new rollers and the cut-off knives needed sharpened. The owner and auctioneer claimed it worked. I sharpened the blades, replaced 2 rollers and reassembled it. I then tightened the springs on the chamber and hooked up to my tractor. I began feeding a few bales of straw into it to make sure it was operational and I have been unable to get one side to knot. I am hesitant to attempt adjusting the knotting assembly(i do have a manual) because I want to make sure I am not missing something else since this baler is supposed to be operational. Any suggestions? This is my first baler but I am a pretty fair mechanic.

Thanks,
Jeff

What is the bad side doing. Is it cutting the twine? Is there a knot in one end? Look in the back of that manual and you will find a troubleshooting guide that shows the different types of knot problems. I have 2 530's that were pulled out of the DEEP briar patches and they both bale now. I attached a picture of mine in a field. Let me know if I can be of help
