I was looking for a boom for my 860. So far I have only found my local farm and fleet and TSC. The one at Farm and Fleet is a Kutter and says 500lb capacity. The one at TSC says 1000lbs. Some of my implements are closer to 1000 then 500. But the Kutter looks better built. Anybody know of a good boom. Course I guess I am limited to who carrys them in my area.

The Farm & Country store (now Quality?) that went out of business here had a 800/1000# & a, hum, maybe 3000# boom pole left when things were 50% off.

I thought about it a while, & got the 800/1000#. The other one was pretty heavy to get mounted & I plan to take this on/off a lot, and the front end of even my big 85hp tractor would come off the ground with 3000# hanging that far back. Then I got to thinking about the stress on the top link on the frame of my 960 tractor, which I mostly use it with.....

Northern (Great Plains) carry a 800 and 1000# booms for about $52 and $85 respectively. That is the capacity at the end of the boom. At mid point it would be #1000 and 1500# each. You may also try Agri-Supply as well.
