There is a IH Model 27 Baler in an auction this week end. I need any and all information. Is this Just a smaller version of the IH 47 baler? What makes baler smaller than another? The amount of hay at can handle at a given time? Is this baler to small for baling between 6 and 12 acres of hay a year?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to hay baling and I'm slowly gathering all the pieces for NEXT year.

Thanks

Keith B

I just got an IH 37 square baler. Seems these are better than 47's, can't say about 27's. But I only got that info from this forum. I plan on fixing it up and using it on my 40 ac. Check with Case-IH and see if they can get manuals first. They said they could get them for the 47, that's why I bought it, too much to go wrong without one. Let us know if you get it, I'd like to compare.
