Was curious if there is a way to figure how many plow bottoms I can pull with my tractor? How many horsepower per bottom should I calculate? Soil type is loamy with partial sod.

We pulled 2 12" trailer with our JD B. Sandy loam, and clay, there were some times that's all she wanted to pull! 3rd gear.

I'm thinking about 10-12 horsepower for a 14 in bottom as a ball park figure. There are a number of variables to think about including soil type, mounted vs trailer plow, weight of the tractor so I don't know if you do better than a ball park number.
