I bought a # 27 I.H. baler for $300.00 and have a problem with the knotter. Some times the bales are fairly tight and other times they are loose. Then some times It won't tie on both sides. Anybody had any dealings with this baler? Thanks

Back on March 31 Bill in Mich posted a good discussion of the knotter on a Model 37, which I believe is the same. Get all the chaff and debris out of the knotter, sharpen the knife and adjust the tension. It should tie once its been tuned up.

try using different brand of string keep notters well greased and keep knives on them sharp, if that doesnt work, get a manual and make sure they are set right timing is everything on a square baler.
