I have a 1089 bought new 2yr. ago. I'm not too happy with it. It goes slower down the road than the older 1049 and 1069's. Late at night it cann't or just barely gets bales from first to second table(an old self-propeld that is powered by a 6cyl. Ford can). And it goes too fast in 1st gear(with engine at proper rpm for hyd.) for straw behind a 25'combine head. One night it just quit operating after 1st table, mechanic came next morning and it worked, never figured that one out(maybe me but don't think so). HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM WITH THIS MACHINE?

This year we trade a 1049 balewagon for a 1979 1069 balewagon. The 1049 never did stack right and we always having to stop the machine and restack some of the bales on the table. We cratered the engine which is why we traded it off. Maybe it had these problems because it was old. However, if you are having those problems with a balewagon that is only two years old then I hope we don't any problems with our 22 year old balewagon because I hate handstacking squarbales. Needless to say, our balewagon is the only New Holland product on our farm.
