Old plow

I've found an old plow. It has mouldboards that have the name Oliver on them, but the plow body does not have any markings except F2590 on the arms were the mouldboards attach. The body is blue, but may have been painted. The plow body is mounted on two wheels. On the one side there is a huge rachet-type device that seems to lift the and lower the plows.An old farmer told me that he believes that the plow is a 20s Fordson. Anyone have any guess what it may be?

Hey Ernie. You've got yourself a Oliver plow. And the guy who told you it was a Fordson, was partialy right. These plows were sold through the Ford dealers to go with the Fordson's. Ford didn't make a line of implements themselves. The big half moon gear makes it unmistakenably Oliver. I do not know what color they were when they were new. Good luck, Joe
