What kind of tractor do you have, On my ford there is supposed to be a spring to keep then from falling out but those springs will break and lose, you flip the spring loose and turn the ball sideways to take it out to change from cat. 1 to cat. 2, if that is what you have then just buy the correct size ball and when they are not in use take them out and put them in the tool box.

Hunter, i have tightened them up by welding around socket with welder set kinda cold and letting the flux flow to the ball. then fillet weld from the cold bead to the arm at regular amp setting. but if you have lost the ball, like the other say, you can get just the ball and a circular socket, torch cut off the old ball in an arc. weld in the new socket. for a few bucks more you can get a replacement arm end. with that you just cut the old arm end off with a saw or torch, bevel the arm and weld in new arm end. i think its easer to align and looks better.

Tractor Supply or Blaines Farm/Fleet sell replacement lift arm ends. They are just welded in place of the old one. Check the size, or take the old one with you, it's not that big of a deal, and they only cost $3-$7 each.

I think Central Tractor used to sell replacement "eyeballs" either a type with a flange that could be welded into the arm or a design which included a short length of arm to be welded or bolted to the existing arm. I haven't done business with them for years. I've got a feeling they aren't using that name anymore but still may be putting out the products. You should be able to find what you need somewhere; have you tried any farm machinery dealers. Have fun.
