Read your question now. I skipped it the first time, as I don't have one so I couldn't help you.

In general, it's better to ask a specific question here. Gives people something to answer! :) Your general 'I am in search of any imformation anyone has' really doesn't lead to much conversation. Do you want to know if it cuts good? Do you want to know how to hook it up? Do you want to know what part breaks the most often?

You might want to know all those questions, but just asking one specific question often gets more replies. The general all & everything questions tend to get overlooked. That just seems to be human nature. Them badgering us a few days later really doesn't help anyone's mood to try to help you.

These newsgroups are all about human interaction. If you are most always nice, & know how to ask questions that strike people, you can get a lot of info from the rest of cyberspace. It's a talent, and I hope I don't insult you by saying you need to develop yours a bit more. :)

On a good note, you choose good subject titles. Lots of folks don't know how to write the topic line to attract people.

You didn't upset me. :) I hope I sounded friendly, just want to help, don't want to argue. Good luck tracking down info on your mower. That must not have been the most popular item around here as I don't see too many. Lots of NI corn pickers tho!

New Idea built mowers for IH and in their own name the IH mowers still have the New Idea cast into the body of the mowers. The newer mowers are balanced head design and that is 30 or 35 years old the oldest mowers were horse drawn Parts were available from IH or NewIdea a few years ago.
