Does anyone have Tines for sale for this rake? I need 8 of them. The ones I need are straight at the top portion---They do not have the coiled loop at the top end.

I believe I used to use a Tiger rake behind a horse raking for my grandfather about 70 years ago. Wouldn't be surprised if we still had the remains around. I'll try to get one of the young fellows to scout it out. The teeth looked as if they were made out of about 1/2" dia round bar bent around an oil barrel or maybe something a bit bigger. The bottow end was rounded and the top 4" was bent at 90 degrees in a directon to lie along the barrel. The 4" end for the teeth on one side of the rake were bent to the left and to the right on the other end. If these sound like what you need let me know; also where are you? You might have to come and take them off. We're near Brunswick, Maine.

Sounds like you got what I need---but I live in Indiana and doubt I can make it to Maine to get it. What other arrangements could be made in Re: to shipping. What I need is 1 tine that had the 4" end facing left and 7 facing right. What would you be asking for these?

I haven't been able to get anyone to dig thru the pile of old machines that have collected in the barn over the years yet but I'll keep after the young fellows to do it. Asking price would be very low but I'll likely have to hire someone to take them off and get them shipped. So that may run into something. Don't get your hopes too high, maybe we can't find them at all or I won't have the right number. Have you ever considered taking a little vacation in Maine this summer? We've got a lot better view of the ocean around here than you do. I'll let you know if we make any progress. If this is for restoration and not for use I'd be tempted to try my hand at making them out of hot-rolled stock.

If I can't find the originals my approach will be to make them---but would prefer to get originals if possible. Plans are to restore the rake but also may want to use it in demonstrations.Let me know if you come across them and if so call me on 812-524-6364
