Have a 1948 AC Rotobaler in pretty good shape but need a lining for the tension brake so I can control the tightness of the bales. Do you know where I can get this part? Local Agco dealer doesn't know. There's probably some antique machinery dealer or salvage yard somewhere - do you know of one? Hope so!

Why not have a brake ship reline it with a new band?

That might work if I can't get the real thing at all!

We used a Rotobaler for a number of years and I remember thinking if I ever had trouble with the brake it would be easy to reline it. A lot of the early cars had brakes and particularly emergency brakes made just the same way. If the metal band part is still OK I think you won't have a problem.I'd say it would be almost impossible to find the entire replacement. Maybe someone who likes to restore antique cars could help you.

Metal band is just fine, sounds like a good idea. Thank you!
