My father has a 2 row New Idea Corn Picker and we were wondering if anyone knows what it is worth? Also we would like to know if anyone knows of any antique farm equipment dealers we could contact about it. It was last ran in 1988 and always was stored in the barn and has been there since. Any information would be helpful.

Do you have any idea where to find parts for a New Idea 324 2-row corn picker. I need a roller. Or, where I can contact the manufacturer--haven't been able to locate anything! Need help. Thanks

In my neck of the woods,a one row NI thats in good picking shape will bring about $1000.00. of course around here we still pick ear corn. The 2 rows will bring about 1500.00.

Hey thanks for that information Steve!!! I know if my dad was still farming we would still be picking ear corn and shelling it. Where are you loacated at so I know the pricing reference. A state would be fine.

In the east (Pennsylvania etc.) these things are worth a lot if a newer model in good shape. Also in areas with smaller dairies they were worth a lot (Wisconsin) but with smaller dairies dropping like flies, might not be a market any more?

On the other hand, I bought a NI 300 for $30, was in great shape, didn't need any work. I see others go for about the same, and really good 327's and such bring about $500-700 here in southern Minnesota. I suspect you are closer to my type of area. What model do you have?

I'm not sure what model it is. It is located at my parents farm. I know that I will be there Friday to get some photos of it and get all the info for it. I have had a couple of interested people for it, I just have to gather all of the details for it now.

Pull-type later models have a higher selling market in EC IN/WC OH. 2-row narrow pull sell good both with 8 or 12 roll husking bed w/ rubber spiders. 2-row wide are less in demand because of fewer folks on 36-40" rows. Mounted 2 rows ( on tractor) are good for opening field and using, but cheap because they tie up a tractor and are a bit hard on the tractor (heat, dirt, etc.) Let me know if I can help you. I live in East central IN.
