Just bought a drag behind mower that I thought was an IH mower. Upon closer inspection I found faint traces of paint, red on the drive unit and green on the mower bar. Yet closer inspection revealed a made in West Germany stamp on the mower bar. My question is did IH have these units built in germany or is this a New Idea mower as has been suggested to me? Thanks for any i

Green and red could also spell David Bradley. I don't know if sickle mowers were ever sold under the David Bradley name nor do I know if any David Bradley implements were made in West Germany. Just a WAG!

having used both mower and rake David Bradley I don,t think they would have been made in Germany unless made after the war I thought they were made in PA.
