I mentioned below about buying the conversion from Central Tractor. I forgot to mention that the 2 point hitch on my 300 U slides sideways as a unit - in other words I can't spread the arms when hooking up. I have to put the arms on the imlement first and then back into them. The 2 point on a 300 U is a bit different than on other tractors so I don't know if this will be a problem.

what i am trying to find is the manufacturer of a 2 point conversion that adapts to 3 point implements . i saw this on a international 300 2 point fast hitch .it has 2 prongs that slide into the fast hitch ....on the ends that stick out there are hooks open at the top with latches you close over the implement pins after you back under the implement and raise the lift arms .i t is pretty simple . the hooks and latches look just like the ones on the quick hitch in ct farm and country and other catalogues .this conversion should work on any international 2 point fast hitch . i can already anticipate pleasure of using this hook up . wish i could send pictures bill b

Actually, I think I saw something like this in my parts book as the original IH Fast Hitch to 3-point hitch conversion. Might be available at a salvage yard somewhere. Haven't seen anything like it in any store or catalog.

I think your question is actually several: First, your 2 point hitch can be converted to 3 point with kits available from several manufacturers, Saginaw and Worksaver are two. See worksaver.com for drawings, etc. I have one of their conversions on a Farmall 200 - cost is about $300. To further convert to fast hitch, you'll need a fasthitch unit, which is a wishbone shaped affair that fits on the 3 point hitch, and allows back-up-pick-up of impliments, without pinning with linch pins etc. I'm not sure whether you can find one of these to fit the 2pt/3pt conversion. I have had to search carefully to find impliments which fit because the width of the various tools varies with manufacturer, and the 3pt conversion cannot be adjusted for width. Fortunately some impliments are narrower than the conversion, and can be shimmed to fit. good luck.

Ok, I'm getting lost.

2-point/ fast hitch is the old IH type.

Quick hitch is the 3-point type that picks up your implements if you leave the pins in them.

3-point is a, well, 3-point.

Did I get it?

Now, the problem you mentioned with the converted fast hitch into a 3-point (no width adjustment) is the same problem one has with a quick hitch! :)

I have been considering the 2 pt. conversion kit from Worksaver (www.worksaver.com). they have a full 3 point kit for around $300 and kits to convert the Farmall "fast hitch". I am waiting on a price on the conversion. I would also like to hear if anyone out there has used this conversion kit on a super c or similar tractor. Good or Bad? I am going to be using it with a five foot mower around 550 lbs. One reply said that it would lift. Anyone know anything different? Thank You so much --

I put a 3pt conversion on a Super A, its ok except
you have to loosen the sway bar up to move the left arm outward. if the sway bar isnt loosen you
have to left the implement into the left arm.
Im not a brut myself.

Have that package (Worksaver HK-326), see worksaver.com - on a Farmall 200. Works fine, with the exception of the inability to adjust the width between the arms, addressed on other posts. Have used it on a heavy 5' no brand "BrushHog", 8 1/2' disk, 6' rear blade, dirt scoop, lightweight fork lift and a crane boom. All have worked within expectations - plan to add some weight up front!

I bought the conversion arms for the 2 point hitch on my 300U from Central Tractor. They weren't cheap - maybe someone else will know where to get them for a better price.
