Anyone have an idea of where to find the flat head rivets to attach the moving floor boards on a john deere E horse drawn spreader?. Or know of another way that will at least look original, besides the usual baling wire trick?. Bolts and nuts won't agree with the rollers. Any ideas?

Would carrage bolts work?

Check you local airport - municipal or commercial. Ask to speak with someone in Air Frames.

They should be able to give you a handful or either flush rivits, blind rivits, or Hi-locks.
Used all of the above on a variety of projects car, truck, sheds etc. I was a Navy 'tron who assisted sheet metal guys. Caution on hi-locs, they are extremely durable and nearly impossible to remove, they also extend approx. 1/32 - 3/4" depending on shank length.

I thought they where called ny-locks because of their Nylon threads. They are hard to back off too and can't be turned by hand hardly at all.

thanks for the suggestions everyone. carraige bolts won't work nor would anything needing a nut.
i thought of something yesterday, should have thought of it before. "elevator bolts" i used them at a grain elevator manufacturing company to fasten rubber tread to steal pullies and to attach cups to the rubber belts. i'll use a 5/16"x 1" bolt and peen it over on the underside.
they have large flat heads, and come i galvanized.
outa be about right to attach the 3/4" boards. i need 96 so that should be a cheaper way too. thanks for the quick responses. if someone has a better idea i'm listening it will be a long while before i'll be at that point in restoration. this is a jd model b horse drawn spreader just for reference to other restorers.
