My box blade has 6 places to put what I call root rakes, but they are missing. These are the lonf, flat pieces of metal that engage the ground. I order to get new ones I need to know what they are called!

I've heard them called all three of those (scarifiers, teeth, rippers). I ran into an old fella with an impressive scrap metal pile outside his shop. Had several of them laying there. Don't know what brand box blade they fit, but they're different from mine. These had semi circular holes in the edge. Mine have full holes in the middle of the shank. My box is a Land Pride.

I call these "teeth". The are great to use a root rake on the box blade. They are great for ripping the gallberries around here (Sanderson, FL). Watch OUT palmetto roots and stumps - it will knock you right out of the seat and into the dash panel. Had the shins to prove it.

Go slow and get used to your rig then you can increase speed and operation of the box blade.

Try "rippers" . That's what we call them around here .

I would take a look at Tractor Supply and see if they have what you need . You will also need the reatainer pins and clips to hold them in place .

Good Luck !
Chris

Officially, (I think) they are 'scarifiers'. "Teeth" would probably get you what you need, however.
