I just bought a similar category 1 3 point hitch plow which was like new for $175. It is a 2 bottom with a rubber tired wheel on the left side and also a rubber tire on the rear wheel. It also has an adjustment lever on the right side. The manual show it is an 812 John Deere used on Model 50 John Deere.

Festus: That is a nice complete John Deere Plow and useful and collectible. Kind of rare, I think, because there were so many Ford and Ferguson plows around by the time Deere came with a standard Category 1 hitch that it seemed that in the farming community of my youth in Central Missouri few buyers of the small John Deeres needed to buy a new plow. They kept their plow when they traded in an old 8N or 9N or bought a used plow for $100. All GOOD 3 pt. plows will appreciate in value.

Thanks for the info Mike. Any idea what it's worth? (not selling it!) Just wondered. I gave 125.00 for it. Thought that was a good deal. Festus

Festus, What it appears you have is a John deere Number 415 plow, This is one of a series of plows JD made in the late two cylinder era for the smaller tractors 330, 430 etc. The one bottom version is named the 411 and the 3 bottom is a 416. The one bottom came with a rigid standard and the 2 and 3 bottom plows had John Deere sure trip safety standards. Hope this info is of some use to you. Bob

I agree that it's a 415. I have a 416, looks just like this plow, just one more bottom on it.

Can't tell you the model or anything, but it sure looks like a JD. Nice cleanup and paint!
