Looking for a little input on this bailer. Is it a fairly good model? Does anyone know of any inherant problems? Does anyone else have one? Tell me whatever you can about this bailer. Thanks Ol Snuffy

I can't tell you alot but the series you ask about is a heavier duty version of the model I think like a 214T is the big brother of the 14T as is 224T of the 24T series.

I think the 224 is the next model JD made after the 214W. I had a 214W, and it was a heck of a good old baler. The 224 had the newer knotters, that required only 2 rolls of wire (the 214 had to have 4 rolls). I think you'll find the 224 is an excellent baler, and that JD will have any parts you'll need. I know I could still get parts for the 214 when I had it.
