It has a 8ft wooden bed, is ground driven, and has cast iron wheels with 20 in rubber. The color was an orange. I am missing the drive mechanism for the floor, it has 3 lobes on the left side that some how drives the floor. the rest is missing, some one changed the gear with another and I believe they apparently drove it with a gas engine, or tryed anyway. Where can I find pictures so I can fabricate the missing parts? Any help would be appreciated.

If you can post a picture of the spreader, more than likely someone can identify the model, then perhaps you can get a manual from a dealer. I just did for a 50+ year old John Deere.

The three-lobed cam (I'm assuming it's mounted to the axle, between the wheel and the frame) was used to drive a ratchet assembly that moved the apron chain a certain distance every time it rode up over a lobe on the cam. I can get some pictures of how it works on my JD if you think that would help.

By your description, I have a similiar model in the barn. If you can post a picture before snow
I will verify and return a closeup picture
