I have a sprayer with 3-diaphragm HYPRO D100 pump. I have been winterizing it the past several years by throwing 1 gal of glycol antifreeze in the tank and circulating it around before storing it. Is there a better way, because the glycol eventually seems to end up on the ground, either by spraying it thru the booms, or at the next use. I don't see any way to drain the pump, short of tearing it apart.

Halbert, just a thought - how about RV anti-freeze ? Relatively non-toxic, and reasonably cheap. It will apparently freeze if it gets cold enough, but doesn't expand, which is what can cause damage. I use it in my sprayers and RV, no problems over the last 5 years, temps down to -15C. Just a suggestion, Ron
