If anyone could help to identify these plows,I would greatly appreciate it. They were purchased about 1960, along with a Ford 9N. I need to get a set of plow shares for them, but can't find a name or model number anywhere on them. (not sure were to look, plus there's about 4 coats of paint on them.

Look on the angle brace between the beams on the back side midway. the picture either shows the ID plate or else it was lost after it was painted.the share showes it to be a 14"

It looks to be a 12 in plow. It is definitely a Fergeson plow. If it is a 12in it is a 12BE-AO-28 plow. If it is a 14in plow it is a 14RE-AO-30 plow with general purpose base and 18in plain coulter discs. The 12in plow is a sod and Clay base plow. I have the 12 in myself and it works well. Could use a new share on the fwd blade tho.

I got the info from the book by Chester Peterson and Rod Beemer called Ford Tractor Implements. Has a very good section in back listing all the equipment they could Identify for both the Fergeson and Dearborn equipment. A very informative book.

Hope This helps Tom-Pa

Thanks for the info Tom! I'm kinda new to this sod-bustin. What is the difference between 12in and 14 in. plows. What do I measure? Any idea where I can buy new plow shares? About how much can I expect to pay.

Appreciate it.

Hi Ron, You measure from the out side of one plow beam to the inside of the other plow beam with a plow on it. It will be 12,14or 16 inches. Plow shares are expensive for the 12 plow as there are not too many 12in plows. 14 and up are very common. Easy to get too. 12 in is anywhere from 60 to 80 dollars. Not sure just where now as I checked 5 years ago.
Your fergeson plow if painted will be gray. Get a copy of the Fergeson plow manual. It is very helpful. You can get one from the N-Newsletter. I will put the link below. It is listed in their archives.
Good luck and e mail me if you need further help.

They look a lot like a Ferguson set of plows I just bought . Somewhere in the 50's they were
made .
Mine has a brass plate high up on the front left .
and directly below it there is stamped numbers .
"A0" might be a key to the plow . I notice this shows up on the model # and the stamping on mine .
Try the 2n 8n 9n site for more imfo .
also this web site...

I bet this will help you
please let me know how you make out on this ...
