Chris: Yes, New Idea sold rotary mowers,5, 6, and 7 foot, mounted and pull type. The brochure I have looks like they were middle sixties to ? .
Your AGCO parts dude might be able to help you, but if they(AGCO) considered it a low volume line, you might be on your own for parts. It might take some measuring or even cut and fit, you may be able to modify parts for other brands. Hard to say who made them, there are smaller shops all over the place building machines like this and a lot of them make really good machines. Good Luck

New Idea made all kinds of implements. They were fairly popular here in east central IN. I have not had any experience with their brush hogs, but I do have a sickle bar mower, and conditioner. I have had a few problems with my sickle that stemmed from poor maintenance by previous owners. Otherwise their equipment was very well made and still serviceable

Chris:

1. Stop yelling. All caps = loud voice.

2. "Gook" is not really P.C. Perhaps "import" would be more appropriate.

Maybe he meant "good hog" and made a typo?

All caps are hard to read.

Never seen or heard of a New Idea hog of any sort. But New Idea did sell grain augers, and I've never seen one of those, either.
