Detroit Harvester Co. made the mower in both a red version for Dearborn sold by Ford and a grey version sold by Ferguson. The mowers wer identical except for the paint. I have three ov them, one with no tag, one with just the Detroit Harvester tag and the third one with both tags. I plan on restoring one in Ford color and one in Ferguson color. I have hard to find parts, operators and sales lit. books so if you need a photo copy let me know.

Jim P. is right.

I believe that New Holland dealers can still get parts for the Dearborn stuff. I've got a '48 8N tractor, and its manual refers to Ford and Dearborn implements almost interchangably. I know that New Holland definitely supplies parts and manuals for all the old Ford equipment: I have an old Ford sicklebar mower, which I've heard is similar to the Dearborn 1415. So it's probably worth a call to your local NH dealer to see.
good luck to both you and Jim,
Tom

Julius:

It should have a Dearborn id plate on it, with the model listed. More common were models 14-15 (6 foot), and 14-16 (7 foot). These are 3-point attached, to fit an 8N Ford tractor. (See my newly posted message, as am requesting a source for some hard to find, almost impossible, parts for mine.)
