Baler for Super A

I read in a few posts back about people running a baler off of a Super A. That kind of surprised me since I remember Dad trying to run an old case baler off of our A and it just could not cut it.
So what baler model have people used behind a Super A? I only have a couple of acres and could have someone else bale the hay, but I would like to have the fun and maybe the headache also.

Assuming the windrows aren't too heavy, only flat ground or very modest rolling hills, and the tractor is in good repair, a Super A will handle a pto baler like a IH 45 or 46, a JD 14t or 24T, NH 66, etc. Don't expect to go fast or load big loads behind it, but it will get the job done. They are tough little buggers.

I can pretty much guarantee the headaches, the fun part is a bit more iffy.

I would think that an engine driven (Not PTO driven) NH 68 or Deere 14T (or newer)would be about right. And when I say that I'm assuming that you don't have hills and that you are content to drop the bales on the ground rather than pull a wagon behind the baler.

Do get the manuals for whatever you wind up going with, and be safe.

B.C. is right on the motor driven baler.

I don't know how you would get a pto shaft on an A to be safe. There would'nt be anyway to center it out, or to get the angles right.

I know the pto turns backwards on a Cub to everything else and I think I remember that and A is backwards too. Somebody straighten me out if I'm wrong cause it's been awhile since I used an A Farmall any.
