any thoughts?

I am considering a tow behind sickle bar mower as a temporary "somtimes" tool to supplement my Woods mower on my Farmall 140. This would be used only sporadically to cut tall weeds near a stream bed and marsh area, where I can not drive the tractor straight into...

Does anyone have experience using both a belly mower and a sickle bar simultaneously? Belly mower is side PTO pully driven, sickle bar would be straight PTO driven. Any suggestions from the group?

Thanks in advance

Pete if you are going to use the 140 a pull-behind won't work because the PTO shaft on the tractor isn't 1 3/8 to fit the PTO on the mower, and the angle of the shafts would be to steep and cause it to bind on a turn.Your best bet is to get a sidemounted mower for the 140,it's lighter and would be easier to controll in tight places, and on banks.Let me know.
