i've been looking for a haybine and was offered an international 990 by a neighbor. he told me to give him what i thought it was worth. was working when left where it sits some 10 years ago. i know nothing of these machines and need help. can i get parts for this still, what should i do to get it up and running, how much would something like this be worth. he is an honest man and i want to give him an honest price for it.

Buy it I have a 990 that has set outside for the last 20 years and still works well.Parts are still available thru IH dealers. In all my years of looking in wreaking yards devoted to farm equiptment I have seen only 2 machines, and the only reason they were scraped was thet one was in a fire, and the other one was smashed up when it was hit by a car when the farmer was moving it from field to the shed.

If it's been out in the weather for 10 yrs, I would worry about all the bearings, especially the ones without grease fittings.
