The best way to finish a JD 2 blade pull behind plow. Basically it was started to be restored by my father who then just let it sit. I decided to take the initiative and try to finish it. I was able to put it back together but some parts are painted the correct color and some are still the ugly repainted yellow. WHat would be the proper process of stripping down and refinishing the parts. And would such an old plow have decals for it? How would I go about identifying it? There is no model number anywhere for me to go off of. The wheels are spokes. Please help!

Thanks,

Karl

Karl, There should be casting numbers in the beams, if you can find someone with an old repair catalog, these can be translated into a good guess as to what model it may be. Color was probably JD green with black decals. For decals, have a look at Heritage equipment's web site.
