What type is this?

I was given an old box of photos by my mom which belonged to my grandmother. I was going through them and ran across some pictures of some of the old farm equipment which my grandparents had. This is one that has me puzzled. I believe that this is some type of baler but I don't know the brand. The tractor is a MH 44 gas (my grandfather didn't believe in diesels). What is unusual about this baler is that it is a left-hand feed. I have gone through all of my different books on the different brands but have been unable to find anything with matches or even comes close to it. My mom can't remember what kind of baler it is.

I would appreciate any help in solving this question.

K.W. I diden't know you posted a picture, but after seeing the picture it is definetly a NEW HOLLAND 76 baler,it was powered by a Wisconsin V4 engine, and came in twine or wire tie models.

Without seeing the picture I can't tell for sure, but I would say you have a NEW HOLLAND model 76 hay baler.I belive this was NH's first automatic pick-up baler. They were replaced by the model 77.Both models were excellent machines.

It looks just like one that was on ebay a few weeks ago. It was an early New Holland Square Baler.

Looks like the very first production model New Holland Square Baler. The graphic on the baler, although not readable in the picture, is in the shape of a New Holland Machine Company logo.

The tractor pully is on the right(correct)side,so the picture is faceing correct. My 1946 book shows the identicle machine as a new holland model 76

I think the photo was developed backwards. The exhaust on the tractor seems to be on the wrong side.
