Does anyone know how the pitman crank comes out of the crank case. Does whole crank case have to come out? Thanks

I,M HAVE NO IDEA HOW IT COMES OUT BUT WOULD LOVE TO KNOW AS WELL. I AQUIRED A 24T LAST WEEK. IT APPEARS TO LEAK A LITTLE OIL AROUND THE CRANK. IF YOU FIND OUT I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INFORMATION YOU FIND.

Hey guys, These machines are approaching the 30 something age. If you are a custom baler, buy an op's and/or parts manuall(eBay has them all the time). If not, what does a bit of gear oil cost in your area? Call me a cynic if you wish, but I have grown up with these machines, and I can vouch for a cost vs. result effect.

The reason I asked this question is because my pitman crank is worn out, appx. .120" where the pitman shaft connects. I'm not a custom baler , only about 500 bales per year. Since original posting I have found that the best way is to remove the entire crank case and crank shaft together, am going to replace it with a used one that i found. To replace the oil seal You will need to remove the entire crank case less the input gear box, then remove the crank shaft to replace the seal, it's a big job.
