I have a TO-20 Ferguson and I'm in need of a Sickle Bar mower that will attach to it and will mow down slope. I have a 5 acre pond and need to mow the banking. The angle is close to 45 deg in places so I can't drive the tractor on it and I can't mow with the bar up slope unless I drive in the pond. Can anyone recommend a model or series that will do the job?

Thanks Neal

Massey Ferguson made an older model 3pt hitch mower, with a belt drive(not a wooden pitman), which might be usefull, depending on how much of an angle the blade would be in relation to the tractor. You would have to put a sway bar on, or tighten 1 side of the sway chains to stop the mower from swinging into the downside tire.

I used a ford mower on mine till i switched to a brush hog i never had trubel with ether one on a steep grade the sickle bar did a little better looking job but with the brush hog i didnt have to stop and replase rock gardes, blads, or pitmans ive been thinking of going with a finish mower for yard type aereas
