New Holland 276 baler tires

I bought a 276 baler and the tires are bad. Is there a place I can buy some tire that would not cost more than I paid for the baler. Tire sizes are 25x7.50-15 $75.00 and 27x9.50-15 $95.00. I did pay more than this for the baler just can't see paying this much for tires. Whats your opinion of a New Holland 276 wire tie? Thanks for anyones help!!

The tire on the left supports a lot of weight, especially if you have a thrower. You should be ok with a heavy truck tire, just find a comparable size.

You don't need the exact tire size. The most important thing is to make sure your bale chamber is level. When you have it hooked up to your tractor check the level of the chamber from front to back and wheel to wheel. You can purchase your tires accordingly.

i looked around a bit and yes you are right those sizes are old school for sure. They were made for old pickup trucks in the late 50's or early 60's.

Guess your best bet is to check out all the farm tire replacement stores in area and hope some old farmer brings in his 60's or 70's model pickup and buys a new set of heavy duty tires for the rear.

Maybe you can buy the used ones.

I believe 14" are even harder to find.

This place might have them, but you would be buying new and that was a issue I understand.

Thanks for the help, I found a pair on the internet @ Nebraska Tire for about half what I could buy local and that included shipping. If you need implement tires anyone this seems to be a good place to start.

I have an old 276 for a backup baler. Bought it used. It had old car tires on it, and they were in pretty sad shape. I just put regular 7.50X15 ribbed implement tires on it and it works just fine. I think they cost me about $50.00 each a couple of years ago.

Thanks for the help, I wondered if I could just use a truck tire in place. Alot easyer to find, and would handle towing down the road alot better than those implement tire.
