I know John Deere plates came in 16 and 24 cell plates. Did they come in a 30 or 36 cell plate as well? Just trying to determine if it feasible to run off the closing wheel with a single row planter I am rigging up and coming up with plant spacing. I figured someone here would know about the plates. Thanks

Most cells I know of on a CORN plate is 24. As mentioned, other seed plates with more. (ie Sorghum plates) Lincoln Ag offers blank plates to which you can take a file or grinder and create your own cells. Not sure if there'd be room for many more than 24 cells with cut-outs big enough for corn and still have enough "meat" left in the dividers to make them durable.

They made up to 72 cell plates but not for corn, the higher number cell plates were specilized plates mostly for vegetables.
