I just bought a used FC 202 disc mower/impeller conditioner. The blades look upside down to me. The edge where you would sharpen them is facing down making it difficult to sharpen. Are these blades upside down or correct? Do most people sharpen or just run them until you replace them? Manual is not very helpful, it says to "make sure blades are in good condition and the directional arrow point with rotation and facing up. Problem is that there is a arrow on both sides of the blade?

Blades are reversible. When one side wears, they can be turned over to wear out that side.

Blade carriers turn in opposite directions for a six carrier cutter, seven carriers have two turning the same way. Therefore, blades will have the slope different on alternating carriers.

However, the answer to your question is that the sharp edge of the blade is closest to the ground . After the blade gets badly worn it may be hard to see the difference. Hope this helps.
