650 new holland problem

I have a new holland 650 round baler and i cant get it to bale tight bales. the pressure gauge on the baler will show no pressure at anytime. i have tried to fill the hydraulic system by following the manual but still nothing. anyone ever have this problem? thanx Dave

When I first got mine it did that. I disassembled and cleaned the pressure regulating and relief valve assembly, reassembled, and blead the air thoroughly (every fitting not just the bleed port). Worked fine after that until the next season. First 2-3 bales its anyones guess if it will apply pressure or not, after that it works fine.

As the other post says, it could be leaking pressure internally in one of the tension cylinders. I havent had to go through mine yet but I have had to rebuild both tailgate cylinders so its just a matter of time.

sounds like stuck adjustment valve or trash under its seat. or blown piston seals
