NH 490 haybine

Am just looking at a NH 490 haybine in fairly good shape. I'm curious to know if anyone has used one to cut alfalfa that produces 3-4 tons per acre. I use a Case 930 and wonder if this haybine will do the job?

That 490 will cut anything you can throw at it. :>)

I have a NH 460 and love it. But I don't know any thing about that 490, I can say a Case 930 is way over kill as to having the HP needed for it. I pull my NH460 with an Oliver 77 and it plays with it. Big problem with to many HP is you can brake things fast if something goes wrong
