Tire/Wheel size for New Holland 273...

Hello -

I"m considering purchasing a New Holland 273 square baler... If I was to purchase this baler I would need to tow it approx 120 miles. What type/size of wheels and tires does a New Holland 273 use? Do you have to go to a specialty place to find them? Thank you!

Backwoods is right about the flotation tire sizes, but my baler has the standard tires-5.00x15, 4ply right side at 28lbs of pressure.
The left side standard size is 6.40x15, 6ply at 44lbs of pressure. Hope this helps. If the baler has two tires on one side, I believe that you will find that someone engineered that set up. The manual only shows the standard single set up on either side with differences being either standard implement tires, or a wider flotation implement tire. I will check back if you have anymore questions.

From the rear of the baler looking forward.... the left side is a 27x9.50x15. The right side is a 25x7.50x15.

If its like the 271 I have its a common size tire. My 271 has car tires on it right now. Big thing is to make sure the wheel bearing have a good bit of grease in them. I have pulled more then one baler home and have had the wheel bearing burn up because of have no grease in them. Now days I grease the bearing before I even hook up to one to pull it home
