Hey all.. Just a line to ask about an old front mount row crop cultivator. The man thinks it's an IH 68, 8 row 30" that was mounted on a 1466 IH. My question is would be will that fit on a narrow frame tractor like the 06 series? Are the side plates the same? Just need to space them off the frame? I know I've seen these in an IH catolog up to somewhere in the 70's. I think the newer models had a square tube mainframe. I know we had a 68 on an 706 that was the same, just need to know what the difference was between the wide frame and the narrow frame tractors. THANX in advance!!

The frames are different width on the 06 and 66 I think the model 85 is the number for the front mount in the 8 row and the 68 was made for 6 30 and 4 wide.

Width should be the only difference. Bolt pattern is the same.

An 806 would be the same as a 1466 in width. The 706 would be narrower I think?
