Just looked at a reversable plow setup for a Farmall C and the owner and I still can't quite figure it out. Appears to attatch to the frame under the axles (but not to the axles) and there does not appear to be any links for fast-hitch (though there may be missing parts). Looks like you can toggle one side up and the other down when you reach the end of the row.

Would like to adapt to a Super-C with a 3 point. Owner says it is from his gradfather's gear and he has never had a particular inclination to hook it up. Has any one run into this beastie?

I don't remember the reason but a couple of months ago in the "Cafe" Farmall section someone posted a picture from an IH publication which showed the plow and its attachment. It was a "ghost" drawing, and showed the item through the wheels, and gave a really good idea how it goes. If you post a request for info over there he may send it to you. Or he may see your note here. Wish I could recall thos sent it.

I have used one of these for years. The ones I have are not designed for the fast hitch, but I think the later ones were. It attaches to a frame that bolts onto and hangs down from the clutch housing. The back of the plow is hung on chains from a frame that bolts to the rear axle housings. This frame has two arms that are lifted and lowered by the touch-control hydraulics, and can be released separately to lower required side. A second set of control rods goes straight down to the front of the plow beams to set the angle at which they run. It is what is known around here as a sidehill plow. You start at the top of the slope and plow back and forth across, changing plows each way. Somewhere I have the operators manual, will try to dig it out and see if some of the information would help you.

From a plough brochure showing a few pictures of the C-199 reversible single furrow plough.

These ploughs use the same front hitch frame as Super C direct connected disk ploughs, and tool bar middlebusters.
They use the quick change rear axle attaching clamps furnished with the Super C two row corn and cotton cultivator.

Also mentions a rear rockshaft with two lifting arms. Shows the front of the plough hitch assembly just about under the bellhousing. Sorry I can't do better. Tom

I have a sales brochure with that plough in it. I will try to make some sense out of the picture and be back here to try to describe. Tom
