Went and did it now...went to look at some fencing supplies I found on craigs list,and also bought a backup baler and rake, both JD, A 24 t baler ,and a ground drive rake , not sure what model on the rake. I got them both for 500 bucks, not a bad deal when you consider scrap is 250 a ton. Anything to look for on the bailer before I fire her up??? I was planning on a total cleaning/greasejob, but is their anything else??the guy also agreed to do hay on his 5 acers on 60/40 shares, I pay for gas & twine,(He buys it at a 15 % discount where he works and I will re-emburse him) Was a productive nite , but it took a while to calm the wife down.....Shawn

Before you hook it up to a tractor I would grease it, check the gear box oil etc. Then I would run it threw a few cycle by have including the knotters. If something isn't right and you do it with a tractor it can/will brake things that would turn it into scrap iron. Also check the plunger safety stop and spring to make sure its working as it should. I found out the hard way what happens to a 14T if its not working as it should because it caused a good one to turn to junk in less then 5 seconds
